Overview

Bordering the Caledon river, 25km from Smithfield, in the Free State, Landfontein is the original C.G.O.C game farm and still the crown jewel! At Landfontein you can experience hunting in any form you choose.

The wide open plains offer the ideal opportunity for those that dabble in long-range shooting, while the mountains and valleys next to the river are perfect for spot-and-stalk hunts.  Two blinds provide the bow- or handgun-hunter the perfect shot on a variety of plains game.

Accommodation

The hunting camp accommodates 12x hunters with an additional overflow facility for 8-10 more people.

The lodge sits on an outcropping, overlooking the farm. The sense of relaxation you get from sitting on the deck, under the African sky with a wood fire roaring in the boma can simply not be beaten.

Landfontein provides for self-catering or you can choose to have meals included.

Satellite TV and wifi is available at the lodge.
